today you came with me to look at a "place of my own" in the city.
the apartment is tiny with a lofted bedroom and brand new kitchen appliances.
the washing machine is also a drying machine and the tub seems big enough for two, now if we could only find a couch! it was fun when we imagined walking over to wholefoods in order to shop for some groceries to make, and headed to sabrina's to see if it would pass for our weekend brunch spot... having you there with me and introducing you as my boyfriend makes me feel lit up inside (like this house pictured) it feels wonderful to know that some day we will be living together and that you will be the last person i see at night and the first person i see when i wake in the morning!

The Best Birthday Ever

You gave me the best birthday I have ever had. The cabaret was exciting and funny, dinner with our friends a blast and everyone enjoyed themselves. The wild dance party and birthday cake were the perfect ways to end the night. I love you so much and am so thankful to have you in my life now. And I'm even on youtube!

Her Beauty Touches Everything

You left me a surprise in my mailbox today, and I rode halfway to work before remembering that I was supposed to look in there. So I turned around and rode back just to find your surprise. And it was a book about lovers. I read this one passage and felt like sharing it:

"Some days I think a con man will take her away and turn my heart to ashes. But I'm always wrong."

I will keep this book close to my heart and the girl who gave it to me even closer. Because her beauty has indeed touched everything.

it is almost your birthday and i am getting really excited about celebrating with you. and your friends! birthdays are my favorite holiday and let me tell you how happy i am that you were born! i need to thank your mom and dad for making you!!! you have added such a special dimension to my life, i find myself smiling all of the time and day dreaming about the infinite possibilities that exist between us. i am hoping this year for you is full of wonderful adventures and memories, and that all of your wishes come true. i love you!

munchkins with sharp teeth

this weekend was indeed a good time. . . i am often pleasantly surprised how we can turn the mundane into an adventure...it seems that breakfast has become our favorite meal together as well as our time to create images of every kind in our sketchbook, we really could draw pictures all day.

i had so much fun taking charge in the bedroom : ) and i was again pleasantly surprised at how well we work together. i hope you like the setup and please know that i am here if you want to keep changing it up...we will never be boring!

one of my favorite memories of this past weekend was running (from the sharp toothed caged munchkins of my imagination) to escape the cold. i sure do love having fun with you!

The Day After a Most Excellent Weekend

What a relaxing yet productive weekend!

It started when you came to visit me Friday night after massage class and were able to let yourself in with your new keys to the Dude Ranch. I was so delighted to see you there on my couch waiting for me.

Saturday we had brunch pretty early at the Side Car with Matt, and he told you all about his job while we marveled at the coolness of Arm's camouflage football uniforms.

On Sunday you helped me rearrange and organize in my bedroom which now feels twice as big and much less cluttered. Thank you again soooo much! We also made some really beautiful art while having brunch at P&K. Can't wait to add those to the inspiration sketchbook...

SBN Party at Phila Brewing Co.

Someone I know loves cute piggies, especially huge metal ones full of yummy beer at Philadelphia Brewing Company. We were there last night for the SBN holiday party where we had delicious locally produced organic food and festive beer. Although Kensinger was our favorite we got to try Philiz Navidad which is a new seasonal black lager only available on tap at select locations.

It was a wonderful night of friends and music, and we even got your iPod car hookup working so that you can rock out and enjoy the love bug even more. We need to go to another event with name tags so I can remember to keep mine this time for our bedroom collection.
