New Stuff

Some general updates to the inspiration page (sketch and a portrait from our Pub and Kitchen brunch), a solo guitar recording in the Box called Minor Tone, and some photos for the album. Tomorrow is Thanksgiving, Mike will be at my place tonight for music and fun, and you and I are getting ready for a big road trip to South Carolina. <3

love guru

A guru (Sanskrit: गुरु, Bengali: গুরু) is a person who is regarded as having great knowledge, wisdom and authority in a certain area, and uses it to guide others. The word comes from Sanskrit Gu, darkness, and Ru, light (prakash); literally a preceptor who shows others knowledge (light) and destroys ignorance (darkness).
thanks so much for being my guru last night and for helping me to see that even after a bad day there is reason to celebrate...( with champagne!! ) ... thank you for listening so patiently and for gently offering and guiding me towards a new plan and perspective. i feel 300 pounds lighter, (even after the delicious gnocchi) like i have more space in my soul for more love and less worry. ..thank you for allowing me to be so honest and vulnerable and for modeling what true authenticity and integrity look like.
i will never forget the night that i was supposed to see Australia but instead saw a new continent of possibilities within and without... thank you for believing in me and us! i love you!

Jungle Juice Love

Sometimes when you least expect it, something magical happens. Like when having breakfast with your lover when you are supposed to be at work, and noticing that your jungle juice has spilled accidentally but formed a perfect orange heart on your napkin. And feeling the warm bass vibrations of the speakers at your back while enjoying your hot coffee across from a boy in a vest who loves you.

Skecthbook Time

Our blustery and cold Sunday brunch adventure led us to Loie again, this time nestled by the window. Armed with pencils and a sketchbook, we dreamed up new bed designs and some whimsical portraits. You with your coffee and me with my mimosa.

Fish Guy Night: Thursday is the new Friday

Looks like we are going to have some time to hang out with the Dudes. Louis and Matt are featured in the film Hooked which is screening tonight as part of the First Person Arts Festival. We can all bond like you have been wanting to do ever since Hallopalooza.

Since you do not have work in the morning on Friday, Thursday night has become our new Friday night! This works for me because I get to see you one day earlier than the weekend. I don't even care if I feel like hell the next day, I just want to spend every second I can next to you, because that is how crazy in love I am with you!

so last saturday we managed to climb up to your rooftop, our plan was to nap underneath the sunset but as soon as we spread out the cobalt blue sleeping bag (after much ado about a zipper)
we found ourselves in our usual spoon and couldn't keep our hands or lips off eachother. i remember feeling like i was on top of the city, the view so breathtaking.... philadelphia looked okay too.
i imagined setting up a little hammock so that we could sleep under the stars, and perhaps a screen of plants to hide us from your peeping tom neighbors.

Sketchbook Time

We have been making it a habit to bring a sketchbook with us to breakfast. We have written some great song lyrics and even collaborated on free form drawings. We even tried to do one completely left handed which was difficult but fun. I love how playful you can be and that you encourage me to create things regardless of where we may be.

Monkfish at Snackbar

One of our favorite places to meet is turning out to be Snackbar, which we visited last Thursday. I had the monkfish (pictured) and you blew my mind by eating a beef burger. You finished the whole thing sans bun, and even tried a piece of my monkfish despite hating the texture. I was impressed at your bravery and flexibleness in diet. Remember our first Snackbar date, where we sat in our very own love shack?
